This tour is for people who like sunny beaches, the pleasant Mediterranean climate and beautiful nature. During our journey we will travel along the South Albanian coastline, mainly in Ionian zone. The Ionian coast is known for its small, isolated beaches and its deep waters. Citrus and olive trees dominate the landscape. A few highlights of this tour are: (1) The visit to “Syri i kalter” – “Blue eye” a powerful natural spring that has created a small lake of crystal clear water that looks like a giant human eye; and (2) The visit to the ancient town of Butrint, the most important archeological site in Albania and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Also, you can try all different kinds of Albanian dishes especially the delicious sea food.
Arrival in Tirana. At 18:00, meeting the tour guide at the hotel lobby. Then start by a quick sightseeing tour of the city starting from Scanderberg Square, Mosque of Et’hem Bey, the Watch Tower, “Deshmoret e Kombit” street and Bllok neighborhood. Dinner. Overnight in Tirana
After the breakfast, travel to the city of Durresi, the biggest seaport of the country, 34 km far from Tirana. Durresi is the most ancient city in Albania, with almost 3,000 years of history. Its foundation dates back to 627 B.C. The most notable tourist attraction in Durresi is the amphitheater of the Roman Emperor Adrian with 15,000 seats, the second biggest amphitheater in the Balkan. There you can see the famous mosaic “The beauty of Durres”. Visit the archeological museum and “Vila e King Zog”. The variety excellent restaurants and accommodations along the sea’s edge, invite the tourists all over the world to spend their holidays at the Durres beach. Overnight in Durresi.
Departing to the Orikum. Visit the ancient town of Orikum, the most important archeological object is the antique theater of Orikum with 400-500 sits. Another notable local site is the church of Marmiroi. Leisure time enjoying the beaches with the deep & clear water. Overnight in Orikum at a small family running business hotel.
After breakfast the trip continues towards Qeparo through the coastline. During the travelling crossing the small and beautiful villages such as Llogara, Palasa, Dhermi, Himara etc. Overnight in Qeparo.
After breakfast, the group will continue travelling towards Saranda. Visit the ancient city of Butrint, which is the most important archeological site in Albania and a UNESCO World Heritage site – 18 km far from Saranda. Visit to the Old Amphitheater, the Temple of Aesculapius, the Baptistery with colorful mosaics and the ancient city walls. Overnight in Saranda.
This day will enjoy the beach of Saranda. After lunch a visit to Ksamil Peninsula, where four small islands emerge in the Ksamili area. Overnight in Saranda.
Visit to “Syri i kalter” – “Blue eye” a powerful natural spring that has created a small lake of crystal clear water that looks like a giant human eye. Then travel to Gjirokastra. Short visit in the Castle of Gjirokaster. After lunch travel towards Tirana. Overnight in Tirana.
